Joanne Sadoski

Jewelry, Sewing

This week the Hickman Arts and Crafts Guild features Joanne Sadoski who lives in Lyles with her husband David.

Joanne has been a member of the Guild for 30 years and is a breast cancer survivor. During her recovery, she began exploring and honing her sewing and jewelry-making skills. She now makes beautiful, one-of-a-kind jewelry. Joanne polishes her own gems and creates her own designs, as she wraps them with her copper wire. These are truly works of art! In addition, Joanne re-purposes old quilts in sewing her various kitchen items. Her skills as a cook have not gone unnoticed either. She has catered for the Guild’s annual Christmas dinners for several years, always smiling, giggling, and talking to whomever will talk back!

Joanne can be found selling her wares at the Guild sponsored craft fairs: Autumn in the Country and Christmas Time’s a-Comin’, as well as Christmas in the Country held in Dickson. Her booth name is J. Sadoski Creations.

As the Historian for the Guild, she has painstakingly collected information of historical significance in relation to the Guild, so that we can all look back and track what has happened during our 50 years of existence.

If you are interested in obtaining any of Joanne’s creations, you can make your request at her booth at the above-mentioned fairs. She can also be reached via e-mail at or by phone at 931-670-5728.
