Martha McKinney

Painting, Jewelry & Card Making

The “art bug” bit Martha McKinney when she was 10 years old. Drawing and painting with acrylics, oils and watercolor are mediums she has used to express her creativity over the years. Martha has also worked in pottery and sewing; she now produces jewelry and hand-made cards.

Martha has been a member of HCACG for several years and has served as the secretary for the organization. In addition, she helps to organize the guild’s Nursing Home Art Program for both nursing homes in Centerville, TN.

Martha and Don were married in Nashville; they moved to Hickman County in the mid-70s. Their life has been blessed with four children and seven grandchildren.

Wise words from Martha: “It’s never too late to improve your talents or desire to grow.”
