• We met on August 17th at the River Park Pavilion.
  • The Tennessee Arts Commission grant awarded us $700 matching grant to do similar activities like we did before when we received our first grant. We held workshops for senior citizens and the disabled. More news about this to follow soon.
  • We are in need of a Chair person for the Nursing Home ministry. Of course we are not allowed in the nursing homes at this time, but we need to be ready when we are. We have several people that help with the projects. The Chair person would be responsible for scheduling and for coming up with ideas of projects to do with the help of other guild members.
  • We are having the 12th Annual Autumn in the Country Arts and Crafts Fair on Saturday, October 3rd from 9 am to 4 pm at the Centerville Courthouse Square!! Click here for an application. The applications must be postmarked by September 26th to be accepted. The Boy Scouts have agreed to help the vendors set up their canopies and unload their vehicles.
  • The 12th Annual Christmas Time’s a-Comin’ Arts and Crafts Fair on Saturday, November 21st from 9 am – 4 pm at the East Hickman Elementary School is on hold at this time. We are not allowed to have the event inside the school due to COVID restrictions. We are looking into other options at this time. We are accepting applications for you to reserve a booth if our plans go through. If we are unable to have the event, you will be refunded 100%.
  • If you would like to become a member of the Hickman County Arts and Crafts Guild, we would love to have you. If you do not paint or have a craft, but enjoying supporting the arts, we need you also. There are always ways to support the arts and crafts in Hickman County. Here is the link to the Membership Packet.
  • If you are a new member or thinking about becoming a member and would like to participate in our arts and crafts fairs, in order to receive the guild member’s discounted booth fee, you must have your membership application postmarked by September 5th for the Autumn in the Country Arts and Crafts Fair and by October 24th for the Christmas Time’s a-Comin’ Arts and Crafts Fair.
  • Our next meeting is a very important one. It is the last one before our October event. We need everyone there! It will be held on Monday night, September 21st at the River Park Pavilion at 6 pm. There are several items we need to work out at the meeting for the event. Looking forward to seeing you there!! All are welcome!!
