We had a great turnout for our first meeting of the year.

  • Membership – Membership packets have been emailed and mailed. Click here for a Membership Packet. Application must be Postmarked by March 1st. Membership applications will not be accepted with event applications. Call 931.670.3836 if you missed the deadline and want to join.
  • Jury Committee – The jury decided it was time to update our guidelines. All new vendors must submit photos of their wares or a link to their website, Facebook page or etsy shop for the jury to view their wares. Some of the changes include:
      • designed clothing
      • limited number of vinyl & embroidery / monogramming machines
      • baked goods must be individually wrapped, if they are sold with the intention of consuming at home
      • signs will be accepted whether the design is stencil, vinyl or freehand
      • manufactured essential oils will be accepted if the carrier, e.g., jewelry, warming pad, etc., is handmade
      • homemade essential oils will be accepted if they are not sold to be ingested
  • Events – We are receiving great feedback and interest on Facebook about our events. This year, we have an Event Publicity / Advertisement Committee. We will be contacting approx. 25 newspapers, 15 radio stations, 2 magazines and 4 television studios. In addition, we will be passing out ¼ sheets and hanging flyers when the time is near.
      • 2nd Annual Keg County Arts and Crafts Fair – Saturday, May 11 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on the Centerville Courthouse Square. Only handmade / handcrafted items are allowed to be sold by the General Vendor. There is room for a limited number of Food Vendors. Applications have been mailed, emailed and are available on Facebook. Click here for Information and an Application. This is also the weekend of the Garden Club’s Annual Plant Sale.
      • 11th Annual Autumn in the Country Arts and Crafts Fair – Saturday, October 5 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on the Centerville Courthouse Square. Only handmade / handcrafted items are allowed to be sold by the General Vendor. There is room for a limited number of Food Vendors. Applications have been mailed, emailed and are available on Facebook. Click here for Information and an Application. This is also the weekend of the National Banana Pudding Festival and the Annual Quilt Show.
      • 11th Annual Christmas Time’s a-Comin’ Arts and Crafts Fair – Saturday, November 16 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. inside the East Hickman Elementary School. Only handmade / handcrafted items are allowed to be sold by the General Vendor. There is room for Food Vendors outside. The Application is not available yet. They will be emailed or mailed to you, if we have your contact information, and available on Facebook.

  • Website – The website is up-to-date. All of the new members have been added. The dates of the meetings have been entered. The deadline dates for the events have been listed on the Calendar as well.
      • Featured Member – We welcome Dodi Lovett as the first Featured Member of the year.
  • Nursing Home – We will continue to go to the Nursing Homes every month. The first Tuesday of the month – St. Thomas Nursing Home; the second Tuesday of the month – LifeCare Nursing Home.
  • Meeting – Our next meeting is Monday, March 18, 2019, at 6 p.m. It will be held at the Centerville United Methodist Church in the fellowship hall. Please enter the church via the lower level door on the Huddleston Street side. All are welcome!
