• TN Arts Commission Grant

The grant is a $700 matching grant. Grinders Switch Foundation will be in charge of the monies and pay the artist after they complete their workshop. The artists will be paid $350 each. The artist will decide how many people may sign up for the workshops. The artist will be responsible to make packets including the material needed for the workshop for those that sign up. The cost of the materials will be paid from the $350 received. Each artist will be video taped. A link to our website, Facebook and hopefully You Tube will be available to the participants. This method will allow the participants to do this at home at their own pace, since they will be able to return to the beginning if need be.

  • Education

It was mentioned again that the committee needs to meet to work on ideas to get the word out. It was suggested that we pay a $1,000 scholarship for the year instead of $500 for each semester.

  •  Nursing Home Projects

We need a chair person responsible to schedule people & help come up with simple projects for the residents.

  •  Autumn in the Country

It was mentioned that the vendors & customers thought this was the best event that the Guild has had. It was attributed to the hard work the Guild members have done all year.
